Hi,
I hope this is the right forum for this type of question. If not please let me know and I will re-post the question if you point me in the right direction.
Is it possible to add a VHD, located in either in a CSV (preferred) or any SAN volume addressable via GUID - i.e. a VHD not stored in a library, to an existing VM using SCVMMs PowerShell interface? If yes how do I do that?
I know how to do this using the "PowerShell Management Library for Hyper-V", but that solution has several drawbacks:
- Does not work well in clustered environments - one has to identify the host currently running the VM first
- Any changes to a VM via Hyper-V will not represented in SCVMM right away - and the time till the refresh seems unpredictibale. Is there a way to force a refresh on a single VM via PowerShell?
Any help or insight is appreciated.
Cheers, Frank
